A work injury in 2019 left me with extensive head trauma, I tried everything, numerous medications, therapies, Botox Injections, nothing worked. I was depressed; I withdrew from family and friends, living with constant and chronic pain. One day in 2021 I decided to visit Presquile Provincial Park. Walking the trails gave me a certain comfort and sense of peace. For the first time since my injury I felt somewhat restored. I continued to visit and noticed a lot of the trail walkers had cameras. I thought maybe I could take some pictures to learn something new and give me some purpose.
In April 2021, I bought a beginner Canon T7 camera and started to learn the Exposure Triangle through the Internet. All this new learning and efforts played havoc with my headaches but I persevered and ultimately found my true passion of Wildlife Photography at 64 years of age. Numerous camera bodies/lenses later I am now editing, printing and matting my own images for framing.
I have found my inner peace capturing images with nature.
